Jacob's New Adventure in Swimming

Our son, Jacob, loves to play in the water and swim, so we thought we'd start him out on the right foot by signing up for swim lessons this summer. Jake is already a good swimmer and definitely not afraid of the water, so this was a pretty easy "assignment" for him. He loved his teacher and always wanted to be "first"! Here are some photos of his fun time in the pool.

Jacob was practicing going under water...
...and he succeeds!

Floating is FUN!
And then it was time to practice jumping in the water...and it got cold....COLDER...
...REALLY COLD!!! (Does anyone else see blue lips and skin??)
Ahh...reward time...down the slide finally!

Gina and Matt's Wedding

I had the privilege of directing Gina and Matt's wedding this past Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Bryan Park in Greensboro. Gina was a beautiful bride and Matt looked very handsome! Steve Dill shot these great photos of Gina and Matt! Thanks to Steve for letting me post these photos. Looks like Gina and Matt decided to "trash the dress" courtesy of Bryan Park's sprinkler system! Gotta love that spontaneity!!

Amy and Justin's Wedding Day

It was a hot, hot day for this beautiful Wake Forest University wedding and reception at Millennium Center! But on June 7, 2008, Amy and Justin "tied the knot"! (Sorry, had to!!) This couple is CRAZY for each other and it was a pleasure to see the wedding and reception come to life! Special thanks to Fusion Fotografix's Kim and Sarah for some awesome shots seen here...definitely top notch photos from one of the Triad's best photographers!

I love this shot of Amy...

One of the ring bearers got stage fright!

Floral Visions created the BEAUTIFUL flowers!!

Mimosas anyone?

The Millennium Center is an awesome reception site! You can't go wrong with flowing white fabric and canopies that can be lit in the shade you choose!

Amy and Justin had a Party Photo Booth rental for the guests to take home photos as favors...here are Kim and Sarah taking a much needed break and self-portrait! I enjoyed working with you two!

Jacob's Day Out with Thomas

My son, Jacob, is a real fan of Thomas the Tank Engine and every June, Thomas comes to Tweetsie Railroad for a week. This year is probably Jake's last year to see Thomas (he's getting a little old for the rides), but it's his 4th year in a row visiting Thomas at Tweetsie. We've had so much fun sharing memories together every year and I know Jake always looks forward to riding on the train as Thomas leads the way! Here are some photos from our most recent visit earlier this month.

Jacob loves to see the goats..and there just happen to be a baby goat roaming free...

Check out that look from Mickey...he was SOOOOO HAPPY I made him get on the ferris wheel...for Jacob's sake, of course! You go Mickey!! You're so brave!!

Thank you Thomas and Tweetsie for awesome memories!
